Martin de Sousa

Martin de Sousa

Martin approaches design as spatial exploration that strives to seamlessly integrate art and engineering. Martin’s passion lies in finding creative and innovative ways of designing, whether the project is to develop a sophisticated, high-end beverage centre or a stunning 5,000 square foot showroom.

Martin successfully graduated from a four year program in Environmental Design, granting him the designation as “Associate of the Ontario College of Art and Design”. As Martin states “My studies at OCAD provided me with the opportunity to obtain a greater understanding of the design process by exploring my artistical and technical design abilities.” In 2005, Martin was awarded by the “Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario” for his thesis project in Sustainability.

Martin has attended the SieMatic Academy in Germany where he did intensive training in kitchen planning and design, receiving his “SieMatic-Akademie Diplom”. Currently, Martin is involved in all aspects of in-house designing at the Binns Toronto showroom. His ability to transform abstract ideas into reality along with his excellent communications and presentations skills make him a critical asset to the Binns team.
